SOMETHING ELSE?

We’re finally joined in the kitchen by Mama Lottie herself and she’s cooking up a delicious menu for us for dinner. We’re a little too excited for the tricky treats she has in store at the end.

A question. Do any of your recipes include any plants from the sea? The usual all-encompassing name is sea weed, but of course they are not weeds, just plants which go about their daily business living in the sea.

Doing a bit of study on these lines, wondering how commonly these plants are employed in Janito culinary practice (I prefer a J – a double L is too Spanish for me). I never knew my mother or either grandmother do so, but that does not mean it isn’t done at all, and in matters of Gibraltar’s Kitchens you are the one to ask!
