Pea Soup with Gammon


  • 500g Yellow Split Peas
  • 3-4 Carrots
  • 1 Onion
  • Mint Leaves
  • 2 Fresh Tomatoes
  • 500 G Gammon Joint
  • 1 large Potato


(Soak split peas overnight, drain them before use)

1. Place the following in a large casserole and cover with water:

  • Peeled tomatoes, cut in half
  • Onions cut in half
  • Peeled and sliced carrots
  • Yellow Split Peas
  • Gammon
  • Peeled and cut potato
  • Mint leaves

2. Boil until gammon is tender. Once done, separate gammon and blend all the vegetables in the casserole.

3. Place gammon back into casserole dish with the blended vegetables.
