Tarta de Santiago o de Almendra

  • 9 eggs
  • 125g Flour
  • 375g Sugar
  • 250g Ground Almonds
  • 250g Butter


1. Mix 1 egg with a teaspoon of water, add 1 tsp cinnamon and 125g sugar. Sift in the 125g flour, mix everything together and and place on the bottom of your dish.

2. Beat 8 eggs, 250g butter, and 250g sugar for 20 minutes then add the 250g  ground almonds and mix together thoroughly.

3. Place everything in your dish onto of the rolled base and leave in the oven for 30minutes at 200 degrees or until it is golden in colour.

4. Once cooled decorate with icing sugar.
