El Capote

SOMETHING ELSE?

If you want a loud, Mediterranean atmosphere with good, wholesome food, then El Capote is a ‘must’ on your list. Be sure to book in advance though as it gets very full, very fast.

El Capote is a quaint tapas bar located in Main Street’s, Market Lane, just off from the old police station, you’re sure to spot it by the crowds of people sitting both inside and out and the sudden rise is noise that is simply the Latin way of conversing.

The best thing about a tapas restaurant is the ability to try so many different dishes and that is exactly what happens, Gambas Pil Pil, Meatballs, Chicken and Beef Skewers (pinchitos), Calamari, a dish knows as El Capote consisting of Chips, Serrano ham, tomatoes sausage and topped with a fried egg, and a selection of Montaditos of every kind, some which involved fried sweet peppers, Serrano ham and Manchego cheese.

The food is simple here but traditional and the prices are fair. I can assure you with the selection of food on the menu and the size of the plates, you will not leave hungry; though will most likely want to return again to try the ones you missed out on.
