Cinnamon & Custard Rolls A La Bonavia

for approximately 10-12 rolls:
  • 1 x Packet of Puff Pastry, thinly rolled
  • 1 x Packet of Custard Powder (made in advance and cooled at room temperature)
  • 2 x tablespoons brown or white sugar
  • 3 x tablespoons of ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 3 x tablespoons of raisins


1. Roll out your puff pastry flat

2. Using a pallet knife spread the custard evenly over the pastry
(Optional – Sprinkle raisins evenly over custard)

3. Sprinkle a bit of the cinnamon over the custard

4. Roll up the pastry over itself

5. Cut into even around 1.5 or 2 inches thick and place flat (rolled side up exposing a bit of the custard) onto a baking tray – do very carefully as they will be very soft and squishy

6. Sprinkle some sugar over and also sprinkle your remaining cinnamon to evenly coat each roll

7. Into the oven for around 10-15 mins at 180 degrees centigrade

8. Leave to cool at room temperature before devouring
