Soaked Pastry Butterflies


  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup water
  • flour to make into a soft dough


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 Anis


1 Boil the syrup ingredients until it becomes sticky to the touch, then leave to cool down.

2 Mix the flour with the oil and water to make a dough.

Roll your dough out and using butterfly cutters, cut out thin shapes. Once ready, fry these in hot oil and drain.

Once the syrup is cool, pour over your fried shapes. Let them soak in a bowl / deep plate.
