Remember these Dalgona coffee posts all over your social media feeds during lockdown? Well we totally forgot we gave it a go and never shared! D’OH! well better late than never. If you haven’t heard of it before, Dalgona Coffee is whipped coffee served with ice cold milk.

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons hot water
  • ice
  • 1 glass milk

Method

Pour a glass of milk 3/4 of the way with some ice and leave it to get really cold.

Pour the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and whisk. Whisk until the coffee mixture starts to foam and peak, you want this to get plenty of air as you would with meringue.

The foam will taste really strong, bit give it a little taste and add a little more sugar if you want it sweeter. It will end up weakening in the milk once you stir it in anyway.

Next just spoon the whipped coffee over the milk and enjoy with a straw, giving the coffee a good stir into the milk before drinking.
